After a month of rain, we were blessed with an absolutely gorgeous weekend. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend to say good bye to summer. It was a work weekend for the guys, they had to take the boats and docks out of the lake. When I wasn't cooking or baking for my workers, I was able to spend the day on the deck knitting.
The apples are perfect and the colors are gorgeous and the weather is perfect for knitting with wool.
Three times is a charm
This week I started knitting a new duffle. I'm combining a couple of patterns that I've knit before, so I thought this would be an easy project to start and finish this week. I intended to have it available for this weeks video and am planning to put a kit together as soon as I finished the bag. The problem is it took three times to get the base right. On Thursday's knitting at Goat Ridge Brewery I realized after 2 hours of knitting I hadn't read the direction properly and ripped it out. Friday night, I was sure I'd read the directions this time and duplicated the same problem as Saturday. Yesterday, it was an absolute picture perfect day in Minnesota, and this time I did read the directions and the base is made. This week I plan on finishing the duffel and having the kits and pattern available for next week. Pictures to come once I get further along with the project.
What is your favorite needle
I'm in the process of putting together my needle order. I'm curious - what is your favorite needle style? My favorite is wood circular needles. I tend to prefer needles that are not interchangeable. Let me know in the comments what you prefer.
